Ben Olson's first game industry job was in 1997 at Monolith Productions making map textures for Shogo: M.A.D. After that he went on to work at Surreal Software for 10 years on the titles, Draken, The Suffering and their sequels. In 2007 he was hired at Id Software where he created concept art for Rage and Doom 4. From there he moved to Austin, TX where he worked as a concept artist for Red Fly Studio and then Zynga​​​​​​​.
